New piece underway...

At this point "The Separation" is extremely close to being finished but I've sort of moved on to the next piece for a bit.  Sometimes walking away from your work for a bit really helps you gain perspective on what you're trying to say and I had definitely reached that point with the last one.  To free my mind I began taking some reference photos for the next piece and while the first batch produced a few decent images it was in the second shoot that I found one that really seemed "appropriate."  As of right now the block-in is complete and ready for paint.  The canvas is 36" x 24".  Lots of updates coming soon on both paintings.
