My art is derived
from my interpretation of the world in which I am a part of. While
the subjects may change from one idea to the next I strive to
instill a certain emotion that will find its way to the viewer. Those small moments of true humanity, often buried beneath the
inconsequential, is what I hope to capture in my work. At times the
content may seem dark or dismal but Life is not often a neutral
experience. Punctuated by lows as well as highs it is in these
delicate moments I believe we find our truest sense of self. The
figure has become an integral part of my process as it
possesses an innate ability to communicate with the viewer regardless
of where he or she is at that particular place in time. In this
way, the work may take a different tone depending on who stands
before it. To create something that speaks personally to each individual is a goal I
hope to one day achieve.
