Third painting begins...

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted anything.  Since my classes ended in December I have been working away at my photography--trying to capture some interesting poses for later work.  Unfortunately my computer became infected with a nasty virus which made it difficult to move ahead with my projects for a while.  I am now pushing along once again as I prepare to begin the painting of the third piece.  The canvas is 22"x60".  The figure is quite a bit larger than the other two but I wanted it to be impressive in size (I change my mind way too much).  Anyway, here it is blocked in with charcoal.  Some inspirational images from Istvan Sandorfi and Aaron Nagel can be seen tacked up on my board.
