Never enough time...

I have been upset with myself for not updating this blog.  My schedule has been really busy this semester with student teaching added to the mix but I have been steadily moving along with the paintings.  Here is a progress shot of the third painting taken toward the end of February.

And here is another shot taken around a week ago.

As you can see it has come a long way in the last month.  Most of the time I am only able to put in an hour or two at a time which definitely slows the pace a bit.  I still need to tweak a lot of areas on all three pieces but they are shaping up pretty well so far.  If there is one thing I have learned from this experience it is that we, as individuals, have little idea what we can accomplish until we are truly driven to find out.  I remember feeling so broken a year ago, not knowing what direction to take.  With a little time and reflection (as well as some supportive words from friends and a photography teacher) I was able to focus those frustrations and make them work in my favor.  The exhibition is approaching quickly and there's no time to relax.  Until the next post (which I promise will be sooner rather than later) I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
