It's been a while since I posted any progress so I decided to do so. The first painting is coming along quite well in my opinion. It still needs a lot of tweaks here and there but so far I am pretty happy with it. My last semester of school just started last week so I think my eight hour shifts at the easel will drop to shorter, more manageable times either late at night or early in the mornings (most likely both). Anyway, here is a shot of the first painting in its current state.

As I said earlier, the first painting still has a long way to go but it'll get there. My biggest frustration with it has been the fabric. In other news, I have also begun the second painting that will be hung to the left of Painting 1. Below are a few images to show the progression.
