The First Progress Shot

Here is the latest piece after two sessions of painting.  As usual I'm still working through some ideas for the background but so far the paint is going on well.  At this point it's still at the underpainting stage so there are lots of rough transitions here and there.  After I get the initial layers onto the arm and Earth I'll be able to go in with some medium and smooth things out a bit.  Here's a shot of where it currently is.
