Paintings ready for the show...

The four paintings were set up for the show today.  I have spent many late nights working on these and, although I feel a bit empty without them staring back at me, I am happy to be able to work on other paintings without a definite deadline for a while.  The hanging felt a bit awkward but, in the end, I am happy I went through with it.  I have put more of myself into these pieces than any other and it feels quite nice to have my expression out to share with people.  Here are a few images taken this morning before being hung for the exhibit.  You can click on an image to see a larger version.  Hopefully in a few days I will have an image of the pieces as they are hanging in the school's senior show.  If you'd like to see these pieces in person they will be on display in Studio #9 in the French Building of the New Hampshire Institute of Art beginning on May 20th at 4 p.m.  There is sure to be an incredible amount of engaging work at this show.  Stop in if you get the chance.
